Following six years of service in the United States Army, Marcus started his sales career in 1997. Over the last fourteen years prior, to joining SalesStar, he operated his own sales process development, prospecting services and consulting firm bringing both innovative strategies and proven best practices to small and mid-sized B2B sales organizations. His prior firm’s services initially focused on the financial services industry, but over time he applied many of the same principles to sales organizations in multiple industries and particularly enjoyed building structures of sales success for tech start-ups.

Marcus is a high-energy and enthusiastic practitioner who gains the most satisfaction from his work by helping others succeed. In his spare time, he is an avid rare book collector and enjoys time at the beach with his wife and dog.
